Probably.  :XD:

OK all.  Some of you know that my beloved :iconmgmags: inspired this picture.  Ultra Magnus Vs Roach color by illmatar  I've seen this guy run across 8 lanes of fast traffic to rescue a tortoise from the road, but he's from Miami - where the roaches grow to the size of compact SUVs, hiss, and FLY aggressively at your head if you try to squish them.  It was literally part of our wedding vows that he deal with certain centipedes (my phobia doesn't even live in Fl dammit!) and I am in charge of the roaches.  Geeks should never be allowed to marry and write their own vows BTW...our guy couldn't even read them he was laughing so hard.

Tis the rainy season, and while our lovely sonic pest deterrents do a really good job most of the year, we do see some roaches once in a while during the summer.  I guess even they are smart enough to decide uncomfortable sounds are preferable to drowning.  So we had one in the living-room the other night.

Never fear!  Mighty Hunter Drogo to the rescue!  Higher Education by illmatar  I was struggling to get my slow butt off the couch and my kitty boy was having a grand time with this fabulous new toy.  He was batting it, and picking it up, dropping it...anything but actually killing it.  My husband (playing Assassin's Creed ironically) was having a heart attack, waving the controller, and yelling.  "DROGO!  Don't eat it!  Drogo leave it!"

Ah, but my cat shares my sense of humor, and he likes to play fetch with his toys.  So what's a kitty to do with a fun toy that Daddy is insisting he stop playing with?  Why, bring it TO Daddy of course!  So, just as I got close enough to get the poor, tortured creature away from my cat, Drogo ran across the living room and dropped it right under :iconmgmags: 's chair.

You will believe a man can fly!

I am a good wife.  I was not laughing very loud at all.  Of course I am posting this story online.  Devilish Laugh
  • Listening to: Drogo messing with stuff he shouldn't
  • Reading: My own work...trying to spark my muse

That's right!  He's my good boy.  Last spring someone gave Daddy a dead roach in his shoe.  I think that was my good boy also, but it could have been one of the girls.  Daddy was unappreciative of his gift.  Very rude.

Hehe.  My dogbaby brought me a slobbery, dead mole he dug up.  Soon as I pulled up, he jumped up, ran over to where he had stashed the thing and brought it too me.  I have also received dead birds, chewed bones, a live opossum, live kittens (he has this fascination with cats, puppies he could care less, but kittens he tries to care for)

Furbaby gifts are the best.

It's when you get one that can stand up to the cat when you should worry!
In Grand Junction we had water roaches bad, just one of those regional things nobody could get away from. The worst was when they were in the walls moving around...

We get those here too.  They are lovely.  My man is just lucky he married a nature girl who doesn't scream at the creepy crawlers.  I think they're cool.  Just not in my house.

I got real good at stopping those little suckers. Like... Use that canned air for cleaning keyboards.you know how if you turn them upside down they spray frost? That did the trick as long as it wasn't enough pressure to blow it away. Frozen roaches!
