What a striking bird! He's lovely.
The focus is slightly off - the eye isn't as sharp as it ought to be - it looks like you might have focused on the beak instead of the eye. It's not too bad though - a bit of sharpening in an editing programme should help. I think a broader DOF would have been better for this, so that more of the bird was in focus. The bokeh is pretty nice though.
The colour is nice - that red is so vivid. I like the bird's pose too; it makes the shot much more interesting than if he'd just been sitting in a normal position.
The composition could do with some tinkering - the tip of his wing at the top shouldn't be cut off, and more space on the left side (because that's the way he's looking) would be better. I also think that cropping some space from the right side and bottom would be beneficial.
